  • Look it over: Check for any visible damage, wear, or leaks. Make sure all doors, panels, and covers are secure.
  • Keep it clean: Sweep and clean the blast area, wipe down surfaces, and empty trash from recovery systems, floor grates, screws, conveyors, and trash bins.
  • Give it a test run: Listen for unusual noises and verify that the control panel and safety features are working correctly.
  • Safety First: Test emergency stop buttons and safety interlocks. Ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) is in good condition.

  • Blast Cabinet/Room: Inspect the interior for wear or damage. Check blast gloves, window protectors, and lighting. Ensure automatic safety shutoff switches on doors are working.

    switch is working freely.
  • Blast Helmet: Change the inner lens and install the outer lenses. Ensure the breathing tube is in good condition. Inspect the vest for rips or tears.
  • Air Compressor: This is the heart of your system! Maintain and service it regularly. Verify it has a pressure relief valve and meets your air supply requirements. Check the oil level and add oil if needed. 
  • Dust Collector: Inspect for proper operation. Check and replace filters as needed. Empty the hopper regularly.

  • Blast Vessel: Check both inside and outside for corrosion, cracks, dents, bulges, or other damage. Ensure the inside is clean and dry. Check for leaks.
  • Blast Nozzle: Check for thread or jacket damage. Ensure proper sizing for the job.
